beer + bread = beer bread

April 9, 2008

At lovely Courtney’s request here it is. It’s the beer bread recipe- so easy, so good:

1 bottle of beer (ben chessman’s home brew is preferred by most)
3 Cups self-rising flour
3 Tablespoons of sugar

Mix it all together. It will get really sticky. Only mix it until everything is combined. If you mix it for too long the bread will come out really tough and no good. Bake in a 9×5 bread pan at 350 for 50-60 minutes. It’s so so good with tons of butter or cheese. If you want to get real crazy mix some cheese up in there before you bake it. Enjoy friends.

Since addition is commutative, you could also have beer + bread = bread beer, though, because of word order rules in the English language, people might be confused when you say you’re bringing bread beer and show up with a delicious loaf.

Unnecessary, I know – but beneficial?
